Jacob was born Oct. 10, 1978, in Princeton, N.J. He was a talented musician who had many friends spanning the U.S. from the coast of New Jersey to the West Coast in Portland, Ore., to Homer Alaska.
Jacob is survived by his wife, Irene Saxton; mother and father Molly and Bud Stults, and grandfather, Amos Stults, all of Ringoes, N.J.; sister Katie Stults of New York; mother-in-law and father in-law Susan and Allen Saxton of Homer; and brother-in-law Andrew Saxton of Anchorage.
Jacob and Irene met in Portland and were married July 25, 2009, in Homer. They spent their summers in Alaska on Irene’s family property in Homer and the winters in Portland.
A memorial service was held at Oregon Episcopal School in Portland on Tuesday, May 11, 2010, where Jacob taught math and computer science to high school students. A memorial service will be held in New Jersey in July and a celebration of his life was held in Homer earlier this summer.
